Most modern android and iPhone cell phones have an NFC reader. (Check to see if your phone has an NFC reader). RankPatches that have the NFC 
icon on them have an NFC chip.

To use NFC RankPatches:
- Unlock your phone so you can see your home screen.
- Hold your phones’ NFC antenna area to the logo on the NFC RankPatch until it reads the NFC. (Where the NFC chip is located.)
- A pop-up for the link will appear on your phone screen, open the link and it will take you to the profile of the person you scanned.
NFC Tips
- NFC’s can take a several seconds to read.
- Phone cases can make it harder to scan NFC's. Try to use the front (screen side of your phone) if you case makes it hard to read a NFC.
- NFC’s are powered by your phones antenna when you are reading an NFC.
- Iphone NFC antennas are usually at the top of the phone, and Androids are usually in the center of the phone.
•Yes, NFC´s integrated into RankPatches are washable up to 150 wash cycles. (Depending on if you wash them once a week, that’s almost three years! Or if you wash them twice a week, that’s still about a year and half, which is just in time for your next rank promotion and you will stay smelling good!)
•The max recommended washing temperature is 104 Degrees Fahrenheit and 40 Degrees Celsius. Air drying is recommended.
• RankPatch can go where you want it to go. There is no rule about which side to wear your rank, even with a belt. For workout wear, most wear it on the ride side because of the label.
The best option is to sew RankPatch on to your gear. It is the best way to make sure it will stay attached, especially on workout wear.
Sewing
- The easiest option is having your local dry cleaner or tailor shop sew them on for you. Its super easy for them, and they will appreciate the work.
- Sewing Machine:
If you have a sewing machine and know how to use it, get to it, you animal.
- Sewing by hand: We recommend using a 1/8th-inch / 3mm blanket stitch. It's super easy to do and there are a ton of videos on youtube if you need some guidance.
Iron-On
Hard to sew items like gym bags, backpacks, using iron-on adhesive is a good option. And when done correctly, it will adhere well and can even be reheated to reset the adhesive if needed.
